The Flowfect® Cell Engineering Grant is designed as a collaborative process. We work side-by-side with our partners to establish a technical workflow that ensures your success. The grant combines access to the Flowfect Discover™ 96-well platform through our in-house services, as well as direct access to our Flowfect Tx® large-scale RUO platform, which will be installed for one week in the Cell Engineering Grant winners’ laboratory. The grant includes on-site training from our specialized Field Scientist who will also work with you to develop the statement of work (SOW) before the work commences.

Applications may only be submitted by authorized representatives of the Applicant applying for the Flowfect® Cell Engineering Grant. To qualify, each Applicant must be a researcher in one of the following sectors:
- discovery, preclinical, clinical human ex vivo cell therapy development in pharmaceutical or biotech organizations.
- not-for-profit medical clinic or research organization developing human ex vivo cell therapies.
Applicants are responsible for complying with any organization’s policies related to participating in programs of this nature, including, but not limited to obtaining any necessary permissions from their organization to participate and to provide the information required for the Application submission.
Applicant must be conducting research at the organization for the duration of the project.
The Grant Selection Committee, a select group of employees of the Sponsor, will determine the Winner(s) based on the following criteria:
(i) Scientific merit: Research objectives and experimental design
(ii) “Cool factor”: Novelty of the research plan
(iii) Feasibility: likelihood of achieving research objectives
The decision is at the sole discretion of the Grant Selection Committee, will be final, and cannot be appealed.
The selected Winner(s) will be notified by email using the contact information provided in the Application. If the Winner (i) cannot be contacted; (ii) fails to respond to multiple attempts of notification; (iii) fails to produce proof attesting that the information provided in the application form is accurate; (iv) refuses the Award; or (v) fails to accept the Sponsor’s Technology Access Agreement terms and conditions, then the winning Applicant is disqualified and forfeits all rights to the Award and the Sponsor reserves the right to choose an alternate Winner.
